How to root Sony Xperia Z3

1. Download the root exploit from this page.

2. Save the file on your computer – place it on desktop without unzipping anything.

3. Up next, you need to establish a connection between your Xperia Z3 and your computer – use the USB cord in that matter.

4. Then, transfer the root file from desktop, to your phone – remember the path.

5. Good; now unplug the USB cable and turn off your smartphone.

6. Enter recovery mode on your Android device.

7. From recovery select “install zip from SD card” followed by “choose zip from SD card”.

8. Pick the root file and flash the same.

9. In the end, from main menu of recovery select “reboot system now” and you are done.

10. If your phone will get stuck in a boot loop, return to recovery (use the same guide for reaching the recovery menu) and this time select “wipe data factory reset” and “wipe cache partition” – of course, in the end, return to Android by picking “reboot system now”.

There you have it; that’s how you can root the Sony Xperia Z3 by using a custom recovery image. So, we are done for now.
